The "before development starts" planning conditions were discharged in June 2011 so this was the first six months of active landscape management.

In this year we have:

  • Prepared the eastern end of the Club's land for sowing as a wild flower meadow.  Key to this has been spreading subsoil over the existing topsoil to reduce the fertility of the land so that rank ruderal vegetation does not dominate.
  • Started to sow wild flower meadow seed mixture.
  • Repaired fences in preparation for enhancement planting of the hedges that surround the land.
