Saturday 15th March

Colin, John and Peter spent the morning excavating and installing steel tubes as receptors for the drop bolts on the gates.  We also found time to erect a short section of timber fence to protect hedging plants.

The hedging plants have suffered cutting when the grass is cut and trampling.  With luck the fence will give them a few years to establish. Then it can be removed.

The holes for the drop bolts inreases security when the gates are shut and will allow them to be restrained in the open position.
