Funding is essential for the Clubhouse: to cover the costs of professional fees before construction; for construction; and to cover operating and maintenance costs.

Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club is pleased to announce that it has been awarded £60,000 funding by Canoe England for a clubhouse on the Basingstoke Canal.

Hart District Council is pleased to announce that it will fund £60,000 towards the Basingstoke and Deane Canoe Club Clubhouse at Colt Hill on the Odiham section of the Basingstoke Canal.

On Friday 16th April Peter Mansell will set off to paddle solo around the Isle of Wight to raise money for the Martin Booth Memorial Fund.Sea kayaker

Following Martin's untimely death in 2009 a fund was set up to remember his contribution to the Colt Hill Clubhouse.

We have started fundraising for the Clubhouse but we need your help  So far the Club has invested the equivalent of about £130,000 in this project: about half in cash and the remainder in volunteer time.

Any donation will be gratefully received:

  • Our preference is for you to use [add giving site details] as Gift Aid is automatically added;
  • Alternatively cheques can be made out to Basingstoke & Deane Canoe Club. For individuals we ask that you complete a Gift Aid form, the Club will benefit from an extra 25% tax rebate.

Any companies that are able to provide a donation will have their name on our web site www.badpaddlers.org to advertise the assistance provided towards the fundraising.

The recommended donation for a brick is £5 for individuals and £100 for companies.
