Calm

Open canoes, sometimes referred to an Canadian canoes (see image) differ from kayaks in that you use a single bladed paddle and may kneel rather than sit. Our canoes may be paddled by one or two paddlers and this course caters for either option.

This two day introductory course is best suited to paddlers over the age of 15 years. This is not an absolute restriction, but due to the size and weight of these canoes, some younger paddlers may struggle with some aspects of the course.

The course takes place on the tranquil waters of the Basingstoke Canal, at Odiham.

  • Saturday 13th July
  • Saturday 17th August
