Spring 2019

These courses will operate using the PaddlePower Passport scheme but will also include all the elements required to get the paddler to 1 Star level. They will take place on to the Basingstoke Canal at Odiham.

BADCC aims to run a variety of introductory and intermediate level courses that are described on this page.  We also run a range of safety and rescue training and assessment for BCU Star awards.


Spring 2019 Introductory Kayak Course - Starts January 16th

These courses will include all the elements required to introduce the beginner to paddling and will take place in the swimming pool at the QMC Sports Centre, Basingstoke and on the Basingstoke Canal at Odiham.

Starting 10 October 2018

This is will be a beginners kayaking course aimed at juniors (under 12).  The course will comprise 6 1/2 hour sessions (with 15 min beforehand to get ready) in the warmth of the QMC swimming pool. There will also be a two Saturday morning sessions on the Basingstoke Canal (Odiham). 

Starting 17th October 2018

This course course is aimed at those who have completed the PaddlePower Passport or 1 Star and who wish to complete their PaddlePower Discover (levels 6 to 9).  The course will comprise three sessions in the Queen Mary's College Swimming Pool and three outdoor sessions on the Basingstoke canal at our Colt Hill Clubhouse, Odiham. Upon request we can also ensure that the course meets current 2 Star requirements and testing for 2 Star can be organised separately.
