August 2012

The meadow sown this spring is now in full bloom!

Saturday 4th August

After a wet spring an early summer it has finally dried out sufficiently for volunteer labour to be realistic.

Friday 20th July

The second digger day of this year was well supported by volunteer labour.

Wednesday 18th July

The wildflower meadow is now looking magnificent with plenty of colour from the cornfield annuals.

The area sown last autumn is more advanced than the spring sown areas and will soon be ready for its first cut.

May and June

With the return to paddling on the Basingstoke Canal each Wednesday evening we have started to make progress with odds and ends of maintenance.

Saturday 19th May

Colin and Colin have continued the repair works to the timber fence around the conservation area at the east end of the Club's land.  This will help to protect the recently re-planted hedge.
